Con expresiones de mucho agradecimiento vemos aceptar una donación de $100 a las Señoras Dora Estrada y Blanca Velasquez de Roy Martinez, representante a los Caballeros de Colon de Uvalde, para el hermano de ellas, el joven Joe Sepeda. El joven Sepeda se encuentra muy enfermo en el Hospital Metodista de San Antonio. La ciudad de Uvalde se ha unido para auxiliar a la Familia Sepeda con palabras de carino y apoyo asi como donaciones para cubrir enormes gastos. [Felicitamos a todas las organizaciones por tan grandioso esfuerzo y por ponemos el ejemplo que “si se puede’’.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the Joe Sepeda Fund may do so by going by the Uvalde Bank.

Miss Carbajal honored iriih Bridal Shower
Miss Brenda Carbajal daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elis Carbajal and bride elect of Victor Aguirre honored with a Bridal Shower at the Community Room of the Uvalde Bank last Wednesday, evening November 28.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcos
Raquel Frankenbert, formerly Miss Raquel Nolasco daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Nolasco of 425 W. Garden St., Uvalde, Texas graduates this month from the University of Texas at
Aguirre.
The couple will be wed at the residence of the bride, 237 W. Calera on December 22, 1979
Hosting the shower were Mesdames Ester, Lillie, Rosie and Veronica Moreno Becky Flores and Irene Reyes.
Austin with a major in Management and a minor in Accounting. Mrs. Frankenberg resides in Austin with her husband Hank and daughter Jessica.

Los participantes interesados serán requeridos que presenten cobros de utilidades y documentación que verifique sus ganancias.

borhood Centers del Community Council en los condados de Kinney, Real, Uvalde y Zavala.
Los aplicantes en el condado de Val Verde pueden pedir asistencia en el County Annex Building en Del Rio.

Heart Catholic School and graduated from Uvalde High School in May of 1976. In May 1978 he received his Associate of Arts degree from Southwest Texas Junior College and there was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. At the time he became ill Joe

was attending Southwest Texas State University at San Marcos majoring in political science with a concentration in legal studies. He was to have received his Pre- law degree in May, 1980.

A Christmas mass was officiated by Rev. David Zumaya last Thursday, December 6, 1979 at Southwest Texas Junior College at the Tate Auditorium. Music was provided by Sacred Heart Choir a special prayer was said for the unity of all mankind by John Aviles member of the Newman Club, the organization that sponsored the religious service.

Drill Squad and Stage Band to present Christmas Program
The Uvalde High School Stage Band and the High Steppers will present a special Christmas Program next Tuesday, December 18 Uvalde High
at the
School
auditorium.
Admission is only $1.00 for adults and 50 cents for children. The funds from this program will enable the students to attend various drill squad competitions.
(The students have been working very hard in preparation for this special program which promises -to be a very enjoyable '• event. Lets all come out and support them!)
