Artistic Salon Presented Exciting Style Show
“Change is in the air," said commenta-tor/hostess Anna Aviles as she began a summer hair style show presented by Artistic Beauty Salon last Monday evening', on the beauty salons patio. Indeed the new trends in ladies hair are changing as was proven by the exciting ideas modeled by a group of young ladies from Uvalde.
“Remember,” she said “Your goal is your own beauty. We emphasize that and beauty should always be original, and individual, because you arc”.
“We decided to present the show to give our friends and customers a preview of the daring new looks that go along with the changes in todays' life style.

Honored
Rosa Maria Gonzales was honored Thursday at a personal shower and luncheon in the Anderson Conference Room at Southwest Texas Junior College.
Miss Gonzales will wed Jose Olvera of Corpus Christi at 7 p.m. July 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Olvera is a former Uvalde resident.
The luncheon and shower was hosted by Shiela Dainello, Margie Ankrom, Darla Baker.
