S. Military Academy at West Point that confirms him as a nominee for an appointment to the academy. Mr. Mireles was Jerry’s high school sponsor and assisted highly in Jerry’s preparation towards an appointment to West Point. Congressman Chick Kazen named Jerry as his principal nominee and he was also nominated by Senator Lloyd Bentsen. Senator John Tower has written his endorsement of Jerry’s nominations also. La Sra. The symposium, previously called the Nuclear Science Symposium, features three of the state’s leading scientists and has been expanded to include discussion on several -sources of energy. Its purpose is to provide selected high school students with added scientific experience and to encourage them to study science. Central Power and Light Company, in cooperation with the Texas Atomic Energy Research Foundation and Southwest Texas Junior College, sponsors the program. Students from Brackettville, Carrizo Springs, Cotulla, Del Rio, Devine, Eagle Pass, Natalia, Nueces Canyon, Pleasanton, Poteet and Uvalde will attend the meeting. Speakers at the symposium include Dr. David Gavenda, professor of physics and education at the University of Texas at Austin; Dr. Bob intersection, the rre-port stated. Each will speak on his area of specialty and give students an opportunity to ask questions and immediately following the presentation. Dr. Gavenda will speak on "Cryogenics and Electrical Systems’’ and will be the first speaker during the morning session which starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Tate Building Auditorium on the campus of SWTJC. Dr. Kenefick will follow with his talk on "Research Studies with a Medium-Energy Cyclotron.” Dr. Phillips will speak during the afternoon session on "Progress Towards Fusion as an Alternate Energy Source.” Also on the program are Wayne Matthews, Southwest Texas Junior College President, and Allen Wallace, CPL District Manager for the Winter Garden District. El estado retiene lo restante en los Fondos de Entradas Monetaria General (Genral Revenue Fund).
