E1 habia sido empleado como Técnico de Mantenimiento III en la Sección de Mantenimiento de Uvalde. Su abilidad técnica como operador de experiencia de maquinaria pesada fue de mucho valor para el departamento en el mantenimiento regular de 302 millas de carreteras estatales en la sección de Uvalde. Jaime empezó a trabajar con el departamento en la Sección de Carreteras de Carrizo Springs y habia trabajado en Uvalde desde 1965. El provo ser un empleado sobresaliente y un gran crédito a si mismo y al Departamento de Carreteras. Su supervisor, Rex Rucker, comento suma- El y su esposa Angelita residen en Uvalde y son los padres de cuatro hijas y 18 nietos.
