This group hopes to provide the missing link by putting books in their hands and trying to create a positive atmosphere that could lead to their discovery of the magic of reading. The Junior Service League holds three reading parties during the school year. During the first party the students were given paper back books for them to keep. This created not only interest in reading for also a sense of pride of owning their book. The students later could trade their paperbooks. The one held today is the second party of the year and a third one is scheduled before the end of the school term.
