Plainview, Texas (Especial)-Un sacerdote local dijo que los mexico-americanos de Dimmitt tiene que aceptar el hecho de que uno de los llamados “brujos” a quien se le acusaba de haber asesinado una estudiante chicana haya sido encontrado inocente por un gran jurado.
El conocido “brujo” Loy Dean Stone, de 50 anos, de Dimmitt, fue declarado inocente de haber matado a Roxanne Casas, de 15 anos en la noche de Halloween de 1977.

Congressmen censured by Senior Citizens
Two Bexar County Congressmen were censured by a unanimous resolution of the Executive Board of the Texas Senior Citizens Association at their January meeting in Bryan, Texas. Democratic Congressman Abraham Kazen and Republican Thomas Loeffler were censured for their vote for the Gebhart Amendment which substituted voluntary controls for hospital costs instead of the current systen of mandatory controls. Are you stumped? It’s a children’s Saturday morning art and craft class at the library — a project sponsored by the Junior Service League of Uvalde.
These are are free of charge and are open to any Uvalde child of kindegarten age to the 6th grade. The second Saturday of each month the older children— third to sixth grade- participate, and on the fourth Saturday the younger children have class.
The children have made many nice things, some of which are on display at the library. The younger children have done such projects as thumb-print pictures, paper bag

Dallas Cowboy Harvey Martin will be the featured speaker following the Spring Dinner Meeting of the Anthropology Society Dinner Meeting of the Anthropology Society at Southwest Texas Junior College. All Cowboy fans in the Uvalde area are invited to hear this outstanding representative of the Cowboy team and to participate in a question and answer session with Martin.
The Anthropology Society Dinner Meeting will be held at the college
on Wednesday evening, Feb. 27, in the VIP Room of LaForge hall. Martin will speak to members and the general public at 7:30 p.m. in LaForge Hall gym. Martin, in addition to his reputation as an outstanding member of the Dallas Cowboy team, is appreciated for his inspiration for young people. Martin presents key ideas regarding motivation for successful living and the handling of personal crisis. He is known for his humor, positive thinking and

personal experiences in professional athletics.
