Alvarado, Globe Hlgli School 1935 Alumnus, again won another honor at Arizona State Teachers’ College at Tempe. This time Hilario Alvarado, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Alvarado, resident's -of Globe-, was awarded, upon graduation, the Comjnerce Department Honor Award for its outstanding graduóuing senior. This plaque is annually awarded by this department to a student ¡qajoring in Corjócrco;' member of the Commerce Club and who has attained distinction both as a schqlar and as a worker. The requirements for such an award are; Scholarship, service to the college, service to the Commerce Club and to the Commorco Department; personality; and activity. Hilario Alvarado, not only was the most outstanding Comrierce graduating senior at Tempo, but was also tho most outstanding < graduating Spanish-speaking ^stu-dont. Aside from, this ho headed the An nual Spanish Fiesta celebration ono year, and another year assisted tho loader of the Spanish Club. Ho was also tho student in charge of a good-will trip to Hermosillo, Sonora,. Mexico. During his senior year Hilario Alvarado received the Altu:ini Association Endowment Fund scholarship for his work, his standing, his contribution to the institution.
