Residents of Martinez St requested we publish a picture of their street to call the attention of the Uvalde County Commissioners and request that their street be included in expenditures of the next fiscal budget. The dust here is a serious problem.
Investigation Continues
The investigation continues on the death of Mrs. Yolanda Garcia, age 24, who was found dead approximately two miles northeast of Batesville in an oil field and about a mile from the abandoned pickup she had been driving .
Mrs. Garcia had been missing since Wednesday afternoon (April 18) and her body was discovered on Monday April 23).

The victim’s body had been taken to San Antonio for an autopsy and that report was not made public until Tuesday of this week. The cause of death is listed as multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Officials say they have received some leads
and have several suspects but that the investigation is still continuing. Citizens are being urged to call the Crime Stop

number 278-2332 if they have any information about the crime. It is not necessary to give the name of the caller and the information will be kept confidential.
