Reading through a batch of exchanges and taki.ng note of the progress of Mexican youth, brings a feelj.ng of pride in us. Pride in that our youth is awaking to its possibilities; pride \because Mexican youth is coming through with true colors. Beginning with Carfield High School in East Los Angeles, we will take, you through a tour of achievement, a tour of pride and of pleasant surprises.
GARFIELD HIGH SCHOOL....
65 students of Mexican descent in a class of 190 were graduated in the Mid-Year class.
MANUELA SOTO won the American Legion Medal for Scholarship, Personality, and Athletic Ability.
CARLOS MORENO toas chosen Vice-

NORA PARADEZ, ex-secretary of CSF, is now Associate Editor of the weekly newspaper.
