Josefina Rangel T Hector C. Garcia
El pasado 18 de marzo contraieron matrimonio los jovenes Josefina Rangel y Hector C. Garcia, en la Iglesia del Sagrado Corzon donde el Reverendo Lambert Bily oficio la ceremonia. Los padres de Josefina son el Sr. y la Sra. Hermilo Rangel y los de Hector son el Sr. y la Sra. Willie G. Garcia. Sr. Los padrinos fueron Eddy y Rosa Garcia de Eagle Pass.
La recepcio'n tuvo lugar en la residencia del Sr. Alfredo Chapoy, abuelito del joven Garcia.
Donde la multitud de invitados sobrearon la riquísima cena id reparada por ambos familiares. El rosario que la novia llevaba fue obsequiado por la mama del novio. Aparte del pastel tradicional la Sra. Oddesa Everett les obsequio uno en forma de erradura que decia "‘Buena Suerte/7

La Sra. Enriqueta Zamora orgullosamente muestra el pastel que ella preparao especialmente para la reunion de la familia de Lucas y Concepcion Zamora. La reunion se llevo acabo el pasado viernes, Marzo 17, en el Centro Cívico. La familia Zamora tiene una historia muy larga en Texas. Se reunieron después de que lo hicieron un proyecto dos hermanas, Conchas y Jane Zamora, que viven en Salt Lake City hace 13 meses. Estuvieron presentes 160 parientes.
La familia Zamora originio del matrimonio de Sra. Concepcion Hernandez y Lucas Zamora que celebraron su sesenta ese dia.

As the actors of the now famous television show, great grandchildren were present and enjoyed Roots'4, the sons and daughters of the late Lucas the gathering.
; Lucas Zamora was born on October 18, 1889 in their recent family reunion was truly a “Labor of Uvalde and as a young man was a cowboy who wor-Love“. It all began some thirteen months ago when two sisters, Concha and Jane Zamora now of Salt Lake City Utah became involve with a project of ?ígenealogy sponsored by their church of Jesus Chirst of Latter Day Saints.

As a young lady, she attended a Catholic convent in Mexico as was customary for most elite Mexican ladies. When the Revolution of 1912 broke out, Concepcion was forced to flee to Texas with a doc -tors family. She was working for this doctor as his nurse when she met Lucas Zamora. They were married March 16, 1918. The family reunion, held March 17,1978, commemorated their 60th. Wedd ing Anniversay.
The Zamoras lived on the Garner farm and there reared their family. They had eight daughters and three sons. In addition they also raised a grandson Abelino Alvarado so that the family likes to
der that there are twelve children which were raised Jn Uvalde. At the present time two daughters, Sofia and Ophilia and a son Lucas Samora, Jr are married and live in Uvalde.
At tne reunion, me sistersand brotners were seated at the honor table. Decorations in the spring motif were prepared, by the family. C andle holders and crepe flowers for the guests tables were made by family members Concha Zamora, Eliza Rodriguez and Gloria Cruz.
A large cake for the occassion was made by Mrs. Enriqueta Zamora, wife of a grandson, Roman Zamora from San Antonio. On the center was the design of a beautiful tree withthe words “The Zamora Family Tree.“ Spring flowers and delicate leaves accented its borders. It weighed 72 pounds and was enough to serve the entire family and guests. The recipe was one created especially by Mrs. Enriqueta	Zamora.
Music for the celebration was provided by “La Ultima Pagina“ of Crystal City.
