Yaque mucha gente y sus familias no tienen recursos para comprar o rentar este equipo, el Grupo de Apoyo toma un papel vital en prestar este servicio. Actualmente, dos camas de hospital eléctricas, sillas de ruedas y andadores están prestados. Las personas que están usando el equipo han expresado su sincero aprecio por el uso de éste equipo medico. Las personas que deseén pedir equipo pueden llamar a Ann Easdon al 278-7121, o pasar a hablar con ella en el Honey Creek Ceramic Ship en 110 Roberts Lane cerca de la Plazita del centro de Uvalde. Si hay familias en los pueblos vecinos que tienen equipo medico que ya no estén utilizando y desean donar el equipo al Grupo de Apoyo, por favor llamen a Ann Easdon al 278-7121. Grove St.......... 278-2412 loans medical equipment Additional equipment donations needed Persons with disabilities in Uvalde have been receiving much needed medical equipment on a loan basis from the Uvalde County Support Group for the Disabled for over two years. Since many people and their families cannot afford to buy or rent medical equipment, the Support Group plays a vital role by providing this service when needed. At the present time, two electric hospital beds, wheelchairs and walkers are on loan. These persons using the equipment have expressed their sincere appreciation for the use of the medical equipment. Persons wishing to request medical equipment should call Ann Easdon at 278-7121, or contact her at the Honey Creek Ceramics Shop, 110 Roberts Lane near the Uvalde city plaza. If families in Uvalde or neighboring communities have medical equipment that is no longer being used, and wish to donate the equipment to the Support Group, please call Ann Easdon at 278-7121. She will make the necessary arrangements to pick up the equipment. Wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, canes, crutches, patient lifters, and shower chairs are the most requested items. You may receive a receipt for tax purposes upon donating medical eauioment. Tax deductible monetary contributions contributions for the purchase of additional items can be made to the Uvalde County Support Group for the Disabled and mailed to Ann Easdon al the above address. The Support Group also assists persons with disabilities by improving the accessibility of county and city buildings, streets, businesses, restaurants, motels churches, the Honey Bowl, ant school campuses.
