Main St. A 1964 Ford driven by Narciso Garza of Uvalde was west bound on W. Main St. He slowed down attempting to make a left turn onto Claudia St. and failed to yield right of way to Ross McKenney hitting him front right. Mr. Garza of 520 Margarita was taken .to the Emergency Room By EMS. Ross McKenney was slightly injured. Narciso Garza was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way. Friday, June 29, 1979 at 5:39 p.m. A 1976 Chevrolet driven by Chris Wiebush of Uvalde was traveling north on High St. In coming to the intersection of Main & High with a green traffic light, he collided with a 1972 white Oldsmobile Ambulance driven by Lewis Reed of Lackland Air Force Base in Del Rio. The ambulance was using the red lights and sirens but had a red traffic light and failed to yield right of way to Unit 1. Reed was issued a citation for failure to Yield Right Of Way. No injuries were reported. Friday, June 29, 1979 at 4:45 p.m. A 1971 Ford driven by Thomas Lansford of Carrizo Springs was stopped at a red traffic light at the intersection of 100 N. High and 200 W. Nopal. A 1974 Chevrolet driven by Oralia Vara of Uvalde failed to slow down and collided into the rear of Unit 1. No injuries were reported. Oralia Vara was issued a citation for following to close.
