On the last game of first half play, with solid defense and superb pitching by Eddie Sanchez, the White Soxs blanked the Builders 5 to 0. After a start plagued by errors by the Builders, which gave the Soxs their five runs, the game settled to a pitching duel between Earl Lennon of the Builders and Eddie Sanchez of the Soxs.
Sanchez came on top with 12 strike outs.

one walk and allowed only two hits.
The Builders only bright moment came when they reached second base. Tliis was quickly wiped out when Tito Salinas, second baseman for left shoe string a sinking line drive and alertly threw to second base to complete a double play. With this victory the White Soxs went undefeated to claim the First Half Title. Their winns were:
