Out,in my hometown I have a particular friend that would do us a lot of good in the spreading propaganda if we could, just -get enough copies of the "VOICE" to shift around. I think chis little paper will shout our sertimíints and raise leaders', if we just work unselfish ly together. MARY MARTINEZ This is an expression by Mary following the reading of a "Voice" and attending a Conference. It is indeed inspiring to. know a person like Mary. Besides putting in a full day’s work to support her family, she has time for so many worthwhile activities. Mary is vice-president of the Young People’s Union at the Baptist Christian Center. She is an active < ficer in her church and also directs several clubs for younger Mexican girls Mary also assists in the Baptist Christian Center Clinic which serves thousands of our Mexican people in the crowded "Utah Flats" area of Los Angeles. Mary is intensely interested in. her own Mexican people. She also is the Secretary of the Mexican Girl’s Conference. If people could just be around our clinic for one day, they would understand just what I mean. Vi/hy is it that it is always "the other fellow" who does the- good deed? Our clj• nic besides dispensing medical service, gives little clothes to expectant r'othor-i (Mexican, of course) made b; American women.
