Jalapeno Champs: Kelly Lindsey, from Del Rio but a native of Arkansas, ate 28 jalapenos to win First Place; Wade (wouldn’t give his last name) and believed to be from Austin, brought cheers by entering at the last moment, captured Third Place by eating 18 peppers and Uvalde Chili Fest Jalapeno Champ — Oscar Vasquez, placed Second eating 20 jalapenos. They could still smile as you can see.
