Several young children HAVE DIED due to bites from rabid animals. Don’t put off for tomorrow what can be done today. Clinic Wednesday! In case you just can’t make it sooner, the City of Uvalde is sponsoring a special clinic for pet vaccination at the Civic Center on Wednesday, July 18 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please, don’t miss this chance! The School Board Makes A Good Move.. Thanks to Dr. Eddie Little’s idea, the school board rearranged their seating arrangement and is encouraging citizens to attend their meetings. There are so many important decisions being made — items that concern us as parents and as taxpayers— please, make an effort to attend. The meetings are once a month, on the first Tuesday of the month. I hope to see some of you there ne^t time. I Hope the additional busing goes t ough ol districts Thanks to the 66th Legislature, sch will now be partially compensated for transporting students, through hazardous areas, although they residojwithirptwo miles from their schools. Our school board is seriously studying the possibility of providing busing to all children, rather than spend time and money on limiting bus students. The expanded busing will probably increase the average daily /attendance— and which in turn, increases the state funds our district so badly needs. This idea would benefit parents and school district. _______ _ Rodders participating were Jimmy Hernandez, Andy Vasquez, and Mike Hernandez.
