The Cactus Jack World Championship Barbecue Cookoff, Washer Pitch, 5000 meter (3.1 mile) Fun run, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Bean Throw, Anything Goes Contest and Flying Saucer Whirl, are just a few of the many events Festival goers may participate in. A trophy and $150 prize money will be awarded first place in the open division. A showmanship trophy will be awarded for the Cook-off. Iweniy-five dollars in cash and a trophy will be awarded to first place in the Washer Pitch tournament and a trophy will be also awarded to second and third place winners. Trophies and running shoes will be awarded to the top male and female winners of the Fun Run. Winners of the three different age group classes of the Fun Run will also receive trophies.
