Six fellows of Mexican descent are on the basketball squad, hissing is John Elias, All-League forward last year, a C.I.F. ruling now allows a high school athlete onlv one soort per semester.

Albert Diaz is now sports editor of the ’'Pace” a magazine, recordings column).st and feature editor of the "Collegian" Los Angeles City College tri-weekly newspaper.
Down at Jordan High School Frank Lopez is Sports Editor of the school paper, while Henry Morales writes in the same dept. Raul Romero is vice-president of the student body, while Genevieve Castillo is its secretary.
Alberto Lopez is Editor of the Roosevelt High School weekly.
Jack Monteverde, 190 pound tackle at San Fernando High, is "jack be nimble" with the typewriter. He punches out sport stories for the school paper.

paddy Caudillo, former captain of Compton J.G. Metropolitan Division basketball champions, is back to continue his brilliant career on the hardwood courts.
Also Tommy Guerrero, former All-Southern California J.C. Basketball forward from LACC, will play on the same team.

In a recent national soapcarving contest, in the 15-to-21 years oP* age class, Porfirio Navarro won $50 for his excellent carved fighter, entitled "War Worn."
