The new dues investment schedule is the product of over six months work in evaluating and re-evaluat-ing the Chambers ancial structure by board of directors, executive board, Chamber Roadrunners, and a special dues re-evaluation committee, chaired by Walt Richburg, Chamber past president. fin-the the the Findings Chamber pointed that the official dues rate- of the various groups all to the fact last time an Chamber investment inewnse—-was implemented was in 1959. At that time the new business rate was increased to 36 dollars per year. 1979, the Uvalde Chamber's average single membership investment is $64.81. ‘‘Comparing the Uvalde Chamber to all other Chambers throughout the United States via a United States Chamber of Commerce survey, revealed that the Uvalde Chamber is in good standing in regards to number of members for a town our size but is ridiculously low in regards to amount invested by the membership," Richburg said. The survey illustrated that even three years ago Chambers in towns of 10 to 15 thousand population realized an average single membership investment at ... SI 29 .dollars... Today in “Of the over 300 Uvalde Chamber of Commerce members only 83 members will be contacted in regard to the new investment schedule for the month of July," Don Ridgway, Uvalde Chamber president, said. “This is because these 83 members dues were to be paid during the month of July," Ridgway added. Each month as different members dues are to be paid they will be personally contacted if they are affected by* the new dues investment schedule until all Uvalde Chamber members have contacted. multi-vis Motor oil NET 32 Fl OZ (1 U.S CRISCO SHORTENING 3 LB.
