Weekly, Spanish language, publication directed and edited by Guillermo Aguirre y Fierro (1887-1949), and printed in San Antonio, Texas. Aguirre y Fierro, was a poet and political journalist most celebrated for his famous poem, Brindis del Bohemio (1942). He worked for several Mexican newspapers before seeking refuge in the United States in 1915. Sometime after, Aguirre y Fierro began publishing El Badajo, offering his perspective as a Mexican expatriate living in Texas. Through El Badajo, he expressed his views on the ongoing Mexican Revolution with editorials, satires, poems, and verses.
