Spanish-language newspaper published in Laredo, Texas by P. P. Aldama and A. Tapia. The publication contracted a wireless telegraph service and operated offices across Texas in San Antonio, San Diego, Eagle Pass, El Paso, Zapata, and in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. El Tábano provided information about the ongoing Mexican Revolution as well as local news from each city in their network. The publication’s creed stated El Tábano’s position as loyal to the working class and resolutely opposed to the leadership of Venustiano Carranza, who would later serve as President of Mexico.
