Bi-weekly, English-language, youth-oriented publication of the Progressive Juvenile Division of Mesa, Arizona. The Progressive Juvenile Division was a recreational and youth organization founded by P.W. Guerrero, in 1937. Guerrero served as advisor for Juventud, overseeing youth staff. Juventud was created to fulfill the Progressive Juvenile Division’s mission of “Cultural, Social and Economic Betterment of Latin American Youth.” It aimed to provide examples of youth successfully facing obstacles, dispel concerns around lack of opportunity for Latino youth, and highlight the role of parents in solving youth problems. While mostly published in English, a small number of Spanish-language articles were printed.
