Actualidad was a Spanish-language newspaper published in El Paso, Texas. The newspaper’s objective was to make newspapers accessible to the Spanish speaking community in the U.S. They stated that the Spanish used was U.S. Spanish so that it was easy to understand for their target audience of Spanish speaking Texans. The newspaper focused on social justice and civic actions for Mexican and Mexican-American issues. It included sections on immigration law and elections, as well as paid advertisements.
