El Mensajero was a monthly, Spanish language, religious newspaper published in El Paso, Texas by various directors such as José Espino, L. H. Robinson, R. J. Parker, Ricardo M. Díaz, and E. P. Muñoz. The publication had changing subtitles, but the most common was, “Organo Oficial de las Conferencias Mexicanas de Occidente y de Texas de la Iglesia Metodista Episcopal del Sur” which translates to, Official Organ of the West Mexican and Texan Conferences of the South Methodist Episcopal Church”. El Mensajero included editorials, advertisements, announcements, literature, state news and religious articles.
