Grades 6-12
Students will depict the life of a teen in Mesa, AZ. Students will use Juventud to gain insight into the lives of youths. They will write a diary entry as a Mesa youth.
Students will view advertisements in historical newspapers. They will select one item being advertised and research the product.
Students will read and analyze Calaveras found in Calaveras Antiguas de “El Mañana.” Students will then use Calaveras as a model to write their own.
