Unions Then and Now
Students will focus their work on a union of the past and a present day union. They will compare and contrast the struggles of the workers and what rights they were fighting for. Has the struggle of the worker changed or remained the same?

Thelma Georgina Baeza has been a Texas public school educator in Title I schools since 2005. She has worked in the realm of Reading Language Arts as a classroom teacher for eleven years, teaching 6th and 7th graders. In 2016, she moved into the world of Instructional Coaching where she's been given multiple opportunities to write curriclum, present at district-wide staff development, and campus staff development. In addition, Baeza moonlighted as an adjuct instructor at San Jacinto Community College for five semesters where she helped students prepare for English I. Her favorite days are when she's given the opportunity to work with students.
